A visual video essay concerning how gender and sexuality is represented in the public space, and how the public space can transfer from being a concrete physical place to a virtual space.
The video has its geographical starting point around Istedgade, the red light district of Copenhagen. From here it examines how the scene of prostitution has changed recently caused by gentrification of the area. As a parallel development the internet has exploded as a marketplace for prostitution.
The video represent different voices from people with different relationships to prostitution and to the area around Istedgade. Visually the video consist of footage from Istedgade and from web pages where prostitution is traded.
